Recycled Gift Wrap

Doesn’t it feel wonderful to see a beautifully wrapped pile of gifts sitting in front of you? Doesn’t it feel awful five minutes later when the wrapping paper is all over the floor? We can’t take away ALL of the guilt, but our 100% pcw recycled papers will make it much, much better!

Did you know? Recycling one ton of paper saves the equivalent of 17 trees, saves 4 barrels of oil, saves enough energy to power an average home for six months, saves 7,000 gallons of water, and keeps 60 pounds of pollutants out of the air. In fact, the EPA has found that making paper from recycled materials results in 74% less air pollution and 35% less water pollution than making paper from new materials. It’s a little more expensive to buy recycled wrapping paper initially, but a lot less expensive in terms of environmental impact, and worth every penny.

For truly waste-free gift wrapping, you have two choices: do what Grandma did and carefully lift the tape up from the wrap, open with extreme care, then fold the paper and use it again, much to the chagrin of your family and friends, OR use colorful, reusable gift bags instead. Each one will last for dozens and dozens of gifts, too, unlike Grandma’s wrap! Spread the joy one gift at a time, and have fun figuring out how much wrapping paper each bag prevents from entering the landfill over its lifetime. Not to mention, if you’re wrapping-impaired and each gift usually ends up looking like a lumpy mess, you can save time and embarrassment by using a bag instead. It’s good for the environment AND for your self-esteem!
